Our goal is to offer our clients a variety of options resulting in beautiful, functional, and sustainable furniture.

Ariana

People ask me all the time where my passion for furniture restoration comes from. I guess I just love how the natural beauty of wood combined with the human element of design can create something absolutely stunning.

Sometimes a certain person or event can change your life. For Ariana the time spent in her high school shop class and the enthusiastic encouragement of her instructor, ( thank you Mr. Summers! ), convinced her to pursue her skills working with wood. Now Ariana, owner and heart and soul of Turner Restorations, is a certified journeyman and a master craftswoman in her trade.

My name is attached to every finished piece that goes out these doors, so it has to have my stamp of approval; no cutting corners or taking short cuts. We make sure the job is done right so that our customers will keep coming back….and they do!

After 30 years in the industry, Ariana still loves what she does. Breathing new life into her clients treasured heirlooms has always been a delight. As well, she has recognized a need to include the upgrade and maintenance of her clients in home cabinetry, and sustains an unrivalled reputation in kitchen and bathroom restoration. The success of her business is evident in her craftsmanship and the continued loyalty of her customers.

The Turner Team

The Turner Restoration team works so well together not only because we share a love for restoration but because we appreciate the important role each of us have in the start to finish of every job.

Mike Fairbairn

I love being the one that gets to kick start each project. Once I strip the old finish off a piece we can get a good look at it and decide what the next step in its progression will be. I like being a part of that process.

Mike has been an indispensable member of Turner Restorations since 2007, bringing to the team his extensive background in piano restoration. Mike enjoys all aspects of refinishing but finds his greatest reward working on one of a kind pieces; pianos and family heirlooms for example, and of course finding hidden treasures under layers of old paint.

Unlike plastic or particle board, wood is forgiving, so in most cases even badly damaged furniture can be repaired. This is one of the things I love about this work; being able to repair furniture and make it beautiful and functional again.

Tina Gould

I really love bringing these beautiful old pieces back to life. One of my favourite projects was a very old rocking horse that had a great deal of sentiment attached to it. We repaired and refinished it for our client, who himself had played on it as a child, so he could pass it down to his granddaughter to enjoy.

Having worked in the industry in a retail capacity, Tina came to work for Turner in 2012 with the goal of further developing her skills in furniture restorations under Ariana’s mentorship. She soon discovered Ariana’s passion for the craft to be contagious and has since become an integral member of the team.

What makes Turner different than other businesses I’ve worked for is Ariana’s love for what she does. She truly cares for each job that comes through these doors and treats these pieces from start to finish as if they were her own
